On 12 December 2023, the first Guangxi University Information Security Attack and Defense Competition of " Qianxin Cup" was successfully held in the school of Computer, Electronics and Information. The competition was organized by the school of Computer, Electronics and Information, the School of Information Security Industry of Guangxi University and Guangxi Network Security Talent Cultivation Base, with the full support of the co-founders of the School of Computer, Electronics and Information of Guangxi University, Qianxin Science and Technology Group Company Limited, and Guangxi TOWERE Information Technology Company Limited. Professor Zhenrong Zhang, Executive Vice Dean of the school of Computer, Electronics and Information, and Shanwang Wu, Deputy Director of the Network Security Coordination Office of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region, attended the opening ceremony of the competition and delivered a speech.

After pre-registration and pre-competition training, 160 undergraduates from our university participated in this competition. After three hours of fierce competition, XiaoMing Liang, Yonglun Pang and Yanting Su won the first prize with excellent results; another 18 students won the second and third prizes respectively.

By simulating the real network environment for attack and defensse drills, this competition not only exercised students' network security skills and practical experience, but also cultivated their sense of mission and responsibility for information security work and improved their information security awareness. In the next stage, the School of Computer and Electronic Information will continue to aim at cultivating innovative and compound high-quality information security professionals, take CTF events as the guide, promote learning and teaching by competition, and deepen the school-enterprise multi-body collaborative education system.
